Related to Earth Day 2024 and as part of environmental conservation efforts, maintaining cleanliness, and fulfilling social responsibility, IMIP involves tenants within the IMIP Industrial Area, one of which is PT. QMB New Energy Materials. The involvement of PT QMB New Energy Materials in this activity is certainly welcomed by the company and leads to positive follow-ups by actively participating in the event themed 'Clean Environment Movement' in Labota Village, which took place on Thursday and Friday (18-19/04/2024).
This Clean Environment Movement involved local government and more than 80 participants, including several community groups and other tenants such as PT. MTI, Tsingshan Group, PT. Kinrui. The purpose of this movement is to clean up the surrounding environment to create a clean and beautiful environment that positively impacts public health. With the participation of various stakeholders, the aim is to raise awareness among the community to dispose of waste responsibly, classify waste according to its type, and emphasize the importance of proper waste disposal to prevent drainage blockages that could lead to stagnant water where mosquitoes breed, potentially causing diseases.
This garbage is a problem that often occurs in society, such as waste that can clog waterways, including domestic waste that emits unpleasant odors, disrupting daily community activities and making the environment dirty. Therefore, PT.QMB New Energy Materials, as a tenant involved, is very enthusiastic about participating in all activities organized by PT IMIP. All participants, with a spirit of mutual cooperation, help each other clean up the existing garbage.
This environmental clean-up initiative can build a strong foundation to foster a more harmonious social atmosphere between companies and communities. PT. QMB New Energy Materials, as one of the active tenants in every social activity, hopes to set an example for the community to pay more attention to the surrounding environment. Clean surroundings promote safety, and cleanliness is an essential requirement for achieving health."
In the clean environment movement in Labota Village, which took place on April 18 and 19, 2024, at least 12 garbage trucks were mobilized to collect waste. The waste, mainly consisting of plastic and food leftovers, was then transported to the Tsingshan landfill.
