Introduction to QMB Engineering Technology Research Center

Building on GEM’s existing engineering and academic collaborations, QMB has invested approximately USD 50 million to establish a three-tier engineering technology innovation system comprising laboratory-scale, expanded laboratory, and pilot-scale facilities. The system is equipped with more than 100 sets of research instruments sourced internationally and includes digitally supported testing and research lines. This innovation platform supports applied research in metallurgical processes and new energy materials, as well as advanced technical training. The facilities are intended to strengthen local research capabilities and support Indonesia’s objectives in the development of its new energy industry and electrification initiatives.
