On September 9, 2023, Professor Guo Xueyi, Vice President of Central South University, led a delegation to visit QMB for visit and guidance. Professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of GEM Group, warmly received the delegation. This visit aims to further deepen the cooperative relationship between the two parties and promote the joint cultivation of outstanding technology and outstanding talents.

The delegation visited the world's first nickel industry museum built by QMB in Indonesian, Zhiyun Internet's cloud control center, and cutting-edge innovative scientific research centers, etc., and went deep into the workshop to understand the highly complex hydrometallurgical process of laterite nickel ore technology application and the manufacturing process of high-quality products.

At the subsequent symposium, graduates of the first "GEM-Central South University-Indonesia Government Jointly Cultivated International Metallurgical Engineering Master's Class" working in QMB gathered together and shared their deep insights on learning and practice at QMB.

Professor Guo Xueyi said that Central South University will continue to strengthen talent training cooperation with GEM and significantly expand the number of master's degrees in metallurgical engineering.

"Only a steady stream of outstanding talents can provide solid support for the sustainable development of an enterprise." Chairman Xu Kaihua emphasized the strategic importance of cultivating outstanding talents for the future, and discussed further strengthening talents with Professor Guo Xueyi and other Central South University representatives.
