Morowali, 20 August 2026 –PT QMB New Energy Materials held a series of activities on 15 August to celebrate the 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, bringing employees together through games and competitions designed to strengthen camaraderie and interaction in the workplace.

The celebration began with participants standing together to sing Indonesia Raya, marking the occasion in a spirit of respect and national pride.

Li Zhizhuan, Assistant General Manager of QMB, then delivered remarks to commemorate Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day. He also expressed his appreciation to the local government, surrounding communities and QMB employees for their continued support and cooperation.

Li encouraged employees to take part in the activities and use the occasion as an opportunity to strengthen relationships with colleagues and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The programme continued with a series of competitions, including a watermelon-eating contest, marble-picking contest, cookie challenge and team balloon challenge. The activities combined individual and team competitions, testing participants’ coordination, agility and teamwork.

The first-place winners were:

• Watermelon-Eating Contest: Hu Yujian, Human Resources and Labour Relations Department

• Marble-Picking Contest: Prisko, Environmental Management Department

• Cookie Challenge: Nurul, Logistics and Services Department

• Team Balloon Challenge: Muchlis and his team, Environmental Management Department

The competitions created a lively and festive atmosphere, giving employees from different departments an opportunity to interact outside their day-to-day work.
