Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health concern in the Bahodopi District, especially during the transitional season, which increases the potential breeding of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. As part of its community health, PT QMB New Energy Materials, through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program within the IMIP area, actively participated in dengue prevention activities together with partners and stakeholders in the IMIP region.

This activity was a collaboration between the IMIP CSR Department, tenants within the area such as PT QMB New Energy Materials, Bahodopi Community Health Center, PMI volunteers, and junior high school students in Bahodopi District. This cross-sector synergy serves as a tangible example of the spirit of mutual cooperation in maintaining environmental health and raising public awareness about the importance of Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN).
The program was carried out over two days, from October 4 to 5 , 2025, yielding positive outcomes, including preventing the spread of dengue fever (DHF) in the Bahodopi District, raising public awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness, encouraging active participation from the community, students, and health workers in environmental health activities, and strengthening collaboration between IMIP area tenants and local health institutions.
▲ Fogging Operation in Residential Areas
The main activities included Fogging (Adult Mosquito Spraying) in residential areas with high potential for water stagnation and in locations reported to have dengue cases. A joint team from IMIP CSR, QMB, and the Bahodopi Community Health Center carried out the spraying using standard health-grade fogging machines. In addition to fogging, participants also distributed Abate powder and provided education on Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN). Residents were instructed to sprinkle Abate powder into water storage containers such as bathtubs, drums, and tanks, as well as liquid Abate to drainage ditches or stagnant water areas that could become mosquito breeding sites.

Through collaboration with IMIP CSR, Bahodopi Community Health Center, PMI volunteers, and students, this initiative is expected to help reduce dengue cases and foster a culture of healthy living among the communities in Bahodopi District.
PT QMB New Energy Materials is committed to continuously supporting social and public health programs as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within the company’s operational areas.
