On February 12, 2025, during the Lantern Festival, QMB Executive Deputy General Manager Peng Wei, along with Deputy General Manager and Director of the Morowali Special Economic Zone VALE Cooperation Project Promotion Office, Cui Tao, led a team to visit the villages of Sambalagi and Were Ea. They extended holiday greetings, engaged in in-depth discussions with local villagers, listened to their concerns, and jointly explored park construction and community development. During the visit, the QMB team had friendly exchanges with village representatives, gaining a detailed understanding of local living and production conditions. They also distributed relief supplies to express the company's care and support for the community.

The team emphasized that the construction of Sambalagi Area is about to commence. While strictly adhering to environmental and sustainable development requirements, GEM will closely collaborate with the local community.
