To further strengthen cultural exchanges and teamwork between Chinese and Indonesian employees, reduce communication barriers, enhance employees' understanding of Indonesian culture, and make learning a part of lifestyle, on December 9, 2024, the first batch of Indonesian language learning classes in the QMB area officially kicked off and started learning basic level courses.

At the opening ceremony, the teacher representative, Zhang Huiling, shared her experience in learning Chinese and introduced the class discipline and study requirements to the students. He said that learning a language is not only learning the pronunciation and grammar, but also understanding the culture, country and world. After that, Mr. Ye Daoyong, the representative of junior class students, shared practical methods and experiences of learning Indonesian with his own experience of learning Indonesian in the department, breaking the fear of difficulties with his personal experience and encouraging everyone to insist on learning while working and learning while working. Finally, Mr. Peng Yaguang, Deputy General Manager of GEM Group and General Manager of QMB, announced the official opening of the Indonesian language learning class!

The first lesson of the beginner class starts from teaching the basic pronunciation of 26 letters, and explains basic content such as how to form words with single and double consonants. The instructors used diverse teaching modes such as direct interaction between teachers and students and question and answer sessions, which stimulated the staff's interest in learning.

It is reported that there are 108 people enrolled in this Indonesian language training course, which will be conducted in stages and in rotation. Through this training, the participants can not only improve their language ability, but also have a deeper feeling of the charm of Indonesian culture, which will inject new vitality into the promotion of Chinese-Indonesian cultural fusion and teamwork.
