On 25 November 2024, QMB and Xi'an Pump Valve General Factory Co., Ltd. (here in after referred to as “Xi'an Pump Valve”) signed an MOU regarding the localization of special pumps and valves for laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy and the establishment of a service department at QMB. QMB Deputy General Manager, Wang Yi, and Head of the Maintenance Department of Xi'an Pump Valve, Xu Yunjun, respectively represented both parties to sign this agreement.

At the signing ceremony, Wang Yi said that Xi'an Pump Valve has long provided strong support to QMB through its advanced technology and professional services. He hoped that through the signing of this MOU, collaboration in technology development and service optimization can be further strengthened, jointly drive the localization process of special equipment, and build a solid foundation to achieve the company's goal of reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Xu Yunjun stated that Xi'an Pump Valve will exert its best resources by setting up a professional research and development (R&D) team to focus on mastering the core technology of special pumps and valves and replacing materials with local products. With an internationally competitive brand of pump and valve products, the company will provide efficient high-quality services, from tool installation and setup to operational maintenance, ensuring smooth and stable production.

Under the agreement, both parties will jointly develop special pumps and valves as well as spare parts required for laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy, with the aim of realizing total localization of such equipment. Xi'an Pump Valve will also establish an onsite service department in the QMB area, providing quick-response technical support for equipment operation, as well as building a spare parts warehouse to speed up supply response time. This strategic collaboration is expected to significantly improve the stability and economic efficiency of the equipment, as well as strengthen QMB competitive advantage in the field of laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy.
