On November 8, 2024, the second "Sustainability Cup" basketball tournament organized by QMB was officially opened in a lively atmosphere. This tournament attracted nearly 150 Chinese and Indonesian employees who participated enthusiastically, forming 11 basketball teams that demonstrated a spirit of teamwork and cultural diversity within the teams.

During the opening ceremony, QMB Deputy General Manager Yan Xiaodong stated that this tournament is the first sports event held at QMB's sports center since its opening, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee care, cultural integration and sustainable development. Following this, QMB Deputy General Manager and the tournament's Head of Referees, Wang Yi, officially announced the start of the competition. He also made the opening tip-off for the first game between the Combined Team and the Smelting Center Team, marking the beginning of the tournament.

The basketball tournament consists of three stages: group stage, knockout stage, and final stage, expected to last for four weeks. This event provides a platform for Chinese and Indonesian employees to showcase their skills, strengthen friendships, and is believed to further enhance employee cohesion while promoting the deep implementation of cultural integration concepts.
