October 20th , 2025 - The graduation ceremony and performance presentation for the fourth Chinese intensive training camp of the Indonesia Government-GEM-Central South University Joint Master's Program in Metallurgical Engineering, Transportation, and International Trade was held at the GEM International Training Center. Professor Xu Kaihua, Founder and Chairman of GEM, attended the ceremony and witnessed this historic moment together with 97 Indonesian international students.

After nearly three months of "immersive" Chinese learning, all 97 students starting from scratch successfully passed the graduation examination with a 100% pass rate and received completion certificates. Professor Xu Kaihua expressed warm congratulations to all students at the ceremony. He stated: "This cohort of 97 Indonesian students coming to China to learn Chinese and technology demonstrates the profound friendship and outstanding achievements of educational cooperation between China and Indonesia. Their progress from zero foundation three months ago to now being able to express thoughts with standard Chinese pronunciation fully proves the students' intelligence, the teachers' dedication, and the scientific approach of the teaching team."

Professor Xu Kaihua emphasized that China-Indonesia friendship is facing new historic opportunities. He mentioned the Indonesian President's late-night visit to Beijing for meetings as a reflection of the deep brotherly bond between the two countries. He stated that GEM will steadfastly promote the cultivation of Indonesian talent, not only cooperating with Central South University but also collaborating with top universities including Tsinghua University to develop more management-oriented master's talents.

He also encouraged students using the traditional Chinese cultural story "High Mountains and Flowing Water - Seeking a Close Friend," explaining the profound meaning of the "close friend" spirit: "I met you, and you encountered GEM and Central South University - these are all close friends in life. Cherish this friendship, learn from each other, and grow together in the future." His message to students was: "Master Chinese, pursue your dreams. Learning Chinese well enables better dissemination of both Chinese and Indonesian cultures."

Professor Wu Guangqin from the School of Foreign Languages at Jing Chu University of Technology, representing the teaching team, expressed sincere gratitude for the valuable platform provided by GEM, the persistent efforts of the students, and the hard work of the teaching assistant team. She encouraged students to remember Professor Xu Kaihua's earnest expectations, continue to serve as "envoys of cultural exchange," and "master Chinese, pursue your dreams."

Zahrah Alfiah, a student from the fourth International Trade Master's Program, spoke as an outstanding student representative, expressing heartfelt thanks to GEM for the learning opportunity. She said: "Knowledge brought us together, gratitude makes us grow." She pledged to continue learning Chinese with renewed enthusiasm and repay GEM and all supporters through concrete actions.

The ceremony concluded with wonderful performances by students from the fourth Chinese Training Camp. Using fluent Chinese, they sang songs, recited poetry, performed dramas, and presented traditional Indonesian dances, fully demonstrating their diligent learning outcomes and vividly portraying the splendid picture of cultural exchange and integration between China and Indonesia.
