In the morning of December 5, Chen Dongsheng, President of Chushang Federation of Hubei Province, Founder and Chairman as well as CEO of Taikang Insurance Group, and his entourage visited GEM Indonesia-PT.QMB, and were warmly welcomed by Professor Xu Kaihua, Executive Vice President of Chushang Federation and Chairman of GEM.

Hosted by GEM's China and Indonesia staff representatives, President Chen Dongsheng and his entourage visited GEM-PT.QMB's high-tech industrial park of "Technology+Intelligence+Green", and learned about GEM's integration achievements of "industry, science and technology, and culture" in Indonesia, and remarked that GEM's ultra-green technology has greatly helped Indonesia's new energy industry develop rapidly.

"Dare to venture out and dare to be the first!" President Chen Dongsheng expressed his admiration for Chairman Xu Kaihua's courage to ride the waves and sail the seas like a Lu Lanlu. He mentioned that PT. QMB's numerous model achievements have fully reflected the business style of Chushang which is a pioneer of Greenpeace and praised Chairman Xu Kaihua as the pioneer venturing out to sea in Hubei and the pride of Chushang entrepreneurs.

"I would like to express my gratitude to President Dongsheng for making the thousand-mile trip to Indonesia to visit Chushang's overseas projects with GEM's 'generals' and Wuhan University alumni who are fighting in Sulawesi, Indonesia." said Chairman Xu kaihua. He added that GEM will continue to carry on the spirit of the Chushang business, sailing the seas and riding the waves.

In 2019, GEM sailed, with the investment concept of "Industry, Technology and Culture Integration Investment, and Growing with Indonesia" by investing more than 1 billion US dollars in Indonesia to build a high-tech nickel resource industrial park with "Technology+Intelligence+Green" and build the first demonstration project of new energy materials made from nickel resources run by local companies in Indonesia with China technology.

GEM built Indonesia's first world-class "Museum of Nickel Industry" and "Joint Research Laboratory for New Energy Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Technology", collaboratively opened an international master class of new energy materials engineering and metallurgical engineering with the Indonesian government (CMMAI) and Central South University, and built the first China-Indonesia Research Laboratory, thereby creating a new chapter in cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Indonesia, as well as one of the new milestones in the China-Indonesia cooperation project.
