On 19th July 2006, Jiang Zhaoli, Deputy Director of Department of Dealing with Climate Change, National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), visited GEM (Wuhan) Recycling Industrial Park, accompanied by Mr. Zhen Jianqiao and Mr. Tian Qi, Deputy Director and Division Director of Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Mr. Chi Shaohua, deputy director of Wuhan Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Mr. Tian Yan, deputy director of Division of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection, and Mr. Huang Huan, First Deputy Chief of Xinzhou District. Managers in charge of GEM(Wuhan) warmly received Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli and his group, and accompanied them to visit Wuhan GHM Auto Parts Remanufacturing Co., Ltd., GEM (Wuhan) “Urban Mining” Museum, the intelligent information monitoring platform, ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle) and WEEE(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) green dismantling workshops.

In GHM, manager in charge of GEM(Wuhan) introduced the remanufacturing processes, processing technology and workshop profile of generators and starters and other remanufactured auto parts to Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli, Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli expressed admiration to the remanufactured auto parts as delicate as new ones, inquired the detail recycling, sales, production and testing related to auto parts remanufacturing industry. In “Urban Mining” Museum, manager in charge of GEM(Wuhan) introduced GEM’s industrial park layout throughout China, industrial planning of Wuhan industrial Park and GEM’s practice and outstanding achievement of exploiting “Urban Mine”. On the intelligent information monitoring platform, Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli and his group watched GEM’s ELV informatization dismantling process, scene of enclosed PCB treatment workshop, and real-time image of Jingmen, Jiangxi, Henan, Tianjin and other industrial parks. In ELV and WEEE dismantling workshops, manager in charge of GEM(Wuhan) introduced GEM’s unique ELV and WEEE processing, fully utilized treatment mode and strict environmental management to Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli.

Deputy Director Jiang Zhaoli expressed great admiration to the achievement that GEM made in environmental protection and resource recycling field, he appreciated that GEM could still maintain a good  development state in the current economic situation, and pointed out that, GEM’s development model is the model of green and low-carbon development.
