On 16.30, 3rd August, a sudden earthquake of 6.5 magnitude disrupted the silence of Ludian country of Zhaotong city in Yunnan province, which drew attention and endless care in China. This 6.5-magnitude earthquake with a 12 kilometers-depth epicenter was the strongest earthquake ever happened in Yunnan province in the past 14 years and it has caused death of 580 people, injury of about 2000 and more than 1 million people were affected.

All the people in China were caring about Ludian without district limitation, and being the most supportive to the affected people. Prof. Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM group payed close attention to the disaster area and made a call to make a donation for the earthquake effected region. The headquarter and subsidiaries responded to the call actively and expressed their care and love actively. All GEM’s staffs tried to help the effected area to rebuild their home by practical action.  

While true love always exist in our nation. On 11:30, 6th August, GEM group held a donation campaign to express caring and loving for the people who were suffering in the disaster. All the staffs at the headquarter and subsidiary companies denoted fervently and generously, and tried to make largest support for the recure operations at Ludian. Everything in the world keeps perennial, and everybody in the world gathers together with endless love. We were together with Ludian at this very moment, let us cheer for the lives with love.

As a leading enterprise in the field of China"s environmental protection business, GEM has always been concerned about public welfare. All the staffs at GEM are kindhearted. We hope the people in the earthquake area will be strong and overcome all difficulties and create a harmonious new life soon.
