On May 27^th, 2014, Mr. Niu Bo, the director of General Affairs Division from NDRC, Mr. Wei Yan, the director of Cashier Dept from The Ministry of Finance, Mr. Ma Weichen, the director of Environmental Resource Division from NDRC, Mr. Qu Fengjie, associate researcher of The Foreign Economic Research Institute from Academy of Macroeconomic Research, Mr. Tian Hui, the director of Electric Cycle Center from China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute, Mr. Tang Aijun, the secretary of Electronic Division from China Renewable Resources Recycling Association, and Dr. Sun Haitao from China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment visited Jingmen GEM Urban Min Resources Industrial Park, accompanied by Mr. Liu Zhengbin, the director of Environment and Resources Protection Department from Hubei Province Development and Reform Commission, Mr. Li Jingsheng, the researcher of Environment and Resources Protection Department from Hubei Province Development and Reform Commission, and Mrs. Li Hongying, vice director of General Affairs Division of Hubei Province Finance Department, etc., are warmly received by Professor Xu, the Chairman of GEM group, Mr. Zhou Jifeng, the Vice president of GEM group, Mrs. Wangjian the Supervisor and Admin Director of GEM Group, and Mr. Lu Jinxi, Vice General manager of Jingmen GEM Co.,Ltd.

  Director Niu Bo and Director Wei Yan, etc., firstly focused on household appliance recycling plant, visited scrapped appliance disassemble workshop, circuit board recycling plant, and disassemble product warehouse etc., then visited the WPC molding plant, scrap battery pretreatment plant, treatment of waste water, waste gas resource center, tungsten resources recycling workshop, copper recycling workshop, The power battery of high performance, Li(NiCoMn)O2 material workshop, GEM experimental center of central academy, and GEM national circular economy education demonstration base “urban mine” museum.

  In the subsequent meeting, Chairman Xu reported the situation of GEM e-wastes and spent batteries recycling, dismantling & treatment and resource utilization to Director Niu Bo and Director Wei Yan. Director Niu Bo and Director Wei Yan highly appreciate the development and latest achievement of GEM in recent years, and praised GEM for its technology, equipment, workmanship, and management, which is an excellent enterprise model for renewable resource industry, and also said that e-wastes industry is in the period of development and progress in China, the industry situation will be optimized from system. Meanwhile, the field experts also actively joined the discussion, which proposed many good ideas and suggestions for GEM and even for whole renewable resources industry, such as establishing a sustainable development strategy for e-wastes, Fining process for e-wastes dismantling, carrying out carbon trading.
