On 9 a.m., May 23, 2014, the unveiling ceremony for the national post-doctoral research workstation of Jingmen GEM Co., Ltd was hold in Jingmen GEM national circular economy educational demonstration base “Urban Mining Museum”. Many chiefs and experts of the universities, institutes and enterprises attended the ceremony. They are academician Xie Kechang, aslo the sub decanal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician Qin Yukun, academician Chen Yong, Prof. Li Jinhui from Tsinghua University , the executive director of Asia-Pacific Region of Basel Convention of UNEP, Wu Yufeng, the sub decanal of Circular Economy Research Institute of Beijing University of Technology, Wan Yong, Jingmen party secretary and the director of the standing committee, Xiao Juhua, the mayor and the deputy party secretary, Li Tao, member of the standing committee and the party committee secretary of Jingmen New and High-tech Zones, Wang Benjun, member of the standing committee and head of Party’s Organization Department, Zhang Chouhe, the vice mayor of Jingmen, Zhu Caikun, vice chairman of Jingmen Municipal Committee and director general of Science and Technology Bureau.

  The unveiling ceremony was presided over by the mayor and the deputy party secretary, Xiao Juhua.

  The party secretary, Wan Yong sent warm congratulations to the unveiling ceremony on behalf of Jingmen municipal people’s government. Jingmen is the only national circular economy pilot of Hubei province. GEM is one of the leading companies in national circular economy and low-carbon manufacturing. GEM initiated a road of exploiting of urban mines. The party secretary, Wan Yong fully affirmed the importance of the construction of post-doctoral research workstation. As an important carrier of top talents, the post-doctoral research workstation will certainly promote GEM’s urban mining and the construction of the world class recycling manufacturing base. In the meantime, it is of great importance to introduce and cultivate high-level talents, improve the innovation capacity, and enhance the competition capacity.

  Prof. Li Jinhui said, as the leading company of circular economy field, GEM is always ready to take it as its obligation. Prof. Li wished Jingmen post-doctoral research workstation will take full advantage and cultivate a team of leading talent who are with an innovation and pioneering spirit and make a positive contribution to ecology civilization construction.
