On the afternoon of 2^nd April 2014, Mr. Xie Zhenhua, vice minister of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) who accompanied by Mr. Li Lecheng, minister of Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission visited GEM (Wuhan) Urban Mining Resources Recycling Industrial Park. Prof. Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM group guided this visit, showed the Circular Economy Museum of GEM (Wuhan) UrbanMiningResourcesRecyclingIndustrial Park, electronic-waste dissembling area and wood plastic composite (WPC) production area to the guests. A special report on how to promote the development of urban mining was given to the Minister Xie

President Xu Kaihua made an in-depth report on the current situation and future plan of GEM’s circular economy development and appreciated the concerns and supports from the national, provincial and municipal Development and Reform Commission. Minister Xie highly appreciated GEM’s recycling philosophy of “turning waste into resources” and the education demonstration effect in the field of circular economy, encouraged us to do better, to do larger, and also pointed the great potential of recycling industry.

GEM has committed to passionate work, continuously developing the circular economy industry, and to do our best in becoming a world respectful environmental protection enterprise. Minister Xie said that if there were any problems during the development of the enterprise, please let the government know. The government would give support, tried their best in realizing the cooperation of government and enterprises in order to jointly promote the development of circular economy industry in China.
