On the afternoon of 22nd November 2013, Academician Xie Kechang, the sub decanal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Researcher Chen Yong, the former Dean of Guangzhou Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other five people paid a visit to the GEM Shenzhen Headquarter. Mrs. Wang Min, the Executive Vice General Manager and Mrs. Zhang Xiang, the general manager assistant warmly received their visit and accompanied them to visit the company information monitoring center, galleries of honor and wood plastic composite (WPC) display centre .

During the follow-up symposium, Vice General Manager Wang Min explained the present situation and future development plan of the company"s recycling industry to Academician Xie. Academician Xie first expressed the concerns about the problems which involved during the company development. He also appreciated the achievements of GEM in the field of circular economy at the same time. Academician Xie said that GEM was the best  environmental protection enterprise he has ever visited and he hoped that GEM would develop this recycling business in a down-to-earth manner. From now on, the Chinese Academy of Engineering would support GEM on technology, to ensure that GEM can lead the development of recycling industry in China.
