On the afternoon of 19^th January 2014,  Academician Chen Yong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering paid a visit to Jingmen GEM. Vice general manager Zhou Jifeng, Prof. Zhang Yunhe, the dean of GEM Central Research Center of GEM, general manager assistant Zhang Xiang warmly received the Academician Chen and his accompanies. They showed the National Circular Economy Education Demonstration Base Urban Mining Museum, E-waste Dismantling Workshop, GEM Research and Development Center and Analysis Center, North and East Areas of GEM Resources Recycling Industrial Park to the guests.  

During the visit, Vice General Manager Zhou Jifeng made a detail report on the present situation of company and the education demonstrational significance of the Urban Mining Museum for circular economy to Academician Chen Yong. Academician Chen Yong highly appreciated the development scale of Jingmen GEM and the outstanding contributions to the recycling industry.

Academician Chen Yong has engaged in the research and technology development of energy recovery of organic waste. He has made a number of important scientific research achievements in the field of urban mining. By this visit, he strengthened the further communication and cooperation with the leading enterprise in the resource recycling industry.
