On October 13th 2012, Mr. Baoguo Tian, deputy director of the Social Development Department of Science and Technology Ministry, accompanied by the vice mayor of Jingmen Mrs. Wenxia Zhou, the director of Social Development Office of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Agency Mr. Yuelang Wu, deputy secretary of Jingmen municipal people"s government Mr. Huozhi Jiang, deputy president of Jingmen Municipal Political Consulative Conference Mr. Caikun Zhu, and etc., visited Jingmen GEM Urban Mine Recycling Industrial Park in inspecting the progress of E-waste engineering technology research center construction.
    The chief executive of GEM, Prof. Kaihua Xu showed them inspected the Jingmen GEM circulation exhibition hall, E-waste disassemble workshop, PCB processing workshop, rare metal experiment center, engineering technology research center and analysis center. Then, Prof. Kaihua Xu reported to Mr. Baoguo Tian about how GEM introduced technology into renewable resources industry; how the company constantly upgraded industry scale and technical level through the scientific and technological innovation; the state of national E-waste engineering technology research center. GEM is committed to build an engineering center as a leading technology and demonstration center renewable of resources industry; we have confidence and determination to be a national ministry of science and technology engineering center, and gratitude the policy and financial support by the Science and Technology Department.
    Mr. Baoguo Tian felt very shocked after visiting GEM Urban Mine Recycling Industrial Park; he said GEM was in the forefront of the industry in industrial scale, advanced technology level and workshop environment quality. He is confident in the development of GEM, and he wish GEM will actively promote the E-waste treatment industry technology level.
