June 8th – 10th 2012, under the theme of “Cyclic Tech, Green Power”, the 2nd China International Cyclic Economy Expo 2012 aimed at meeting the new requirements of cyclic economy during the 12th Five-Year Plan period. It focused on the green and low-carbon development of region and enterprises, as well as development achievements of cyclic economy in important fields. With various supportive activities such as forum，seminar, match-up talks and inspecting, the exposition promoted exchanging of ideas, technology popularization and business cooperation. By providing more individualized value-added service, the CICExpo aimed to create a pragmatic, efficient, cooperative and win-win atmosphere in the exhibition and to offer a state-level service platform for exhibition, transaction and cooperation of cyclic economy, promote and apply in an all-round way the technologies and equipment that can save energy and resources, facilitate the link between cyclic economy projects and fund, and thus serve as a bridge between cyclic economy technology and equipment home and abroad.
    In CICExpo, Shenzhen GEM High-Tech Co.,Ltd and Jingmen GEM New Material Co.,Ltd was showed as typical enterprises of cyclic economy in Shenzhen Pavilion and Hubei Pavilion respectively. GEM emphasized on the green recycling mode of used batteries, waste cobalt & nickel, and E-waste. During the exhibition, the industry counterparts and visitors showed great interest in GEM’s booth, they stopped by watching and consulting, and showed great support on the standard green processing technology of GEM, a representative of Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau also hoped to reproduce GEM’s green recovery mode, and promote the standard of E-waste recycling in Qingdao. 
    June 8th, the “Ceremony to Honor Practitioners of Ecological Civilization and Renewable Resources Person of 2012 Awards" was held in Qingdao radio and TV station. The ceremony showed important entrepreneurs, economists, industry experts, government officials and social public welfare personages who devoted promotion of China"s renewable resources industry development and social progress in 2011. Together with 8 enterprise leaders in recycling economy, GEM’s Chief Executive Dr. Kaihua Xu was awarded as Person of Renewable Resources of 2012, to recognize their outstanding achievements in the impetus, innovation, environmental protection, and obligation and so on.
