In the afternoon of February 14th 2011, Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM warmly received the joint inspection group of national ministry of finance, ministry of commerce and ministry of environmental protection to inspect Jiangxi GEM’s work on the program of replacement of household electrical appliance. The major leaders of the research group are Zhang Shudong, the vice inspector of ministry of commerce business services; Qu Fuguo, the consultant of commerce bureau of economic construction department of finance ministry; Li Qinghua the vice director of commerce department of Jiangxi province; and Xiong Jing from pollution prevention department of Ministry of environmental protection.

First of all the joint inspection group visited the special warehouse of Replacement of household electrical appliance, then watched the examination process of the wasted household appliance before entering the warehouse. The inspection group carefully checked the transition documents of the household appliance, and praised GEM for logging every wasted household appliance into its information management system. The inspection group intensively inquired the influence of the replacement of household electrical appliance policy upon the disassembly enterprises and GEM’s process of the replacement of household electrical appliance. The president Xu Kaihua explained every question in detail.

After that, the joint inspection group inspected the disassemble workshop of e-waste. President Xu Kaihua showed the leaders around the disassemble line, and introduced all the techniques and equipments intensively. The inspection group was very excited about GEM’s advanced dispose techniques, modern production line, standardized field control, and high standard site, and they highly praised GEM for its new mode of “squeezing out every drip” of the city minerals.
At last, the joint inspection group visited the exhibition hall of GEM and listened the report of GEM’s current construction and future outlook made by president Xu Kaihua. The splendid report won warm and heavy applause from the joint inspection group.

Before leaving, the joint inspection group said that they would certainly support standardized enterprises such as GEM to develop rapidly, and they hope that GEM could provide constructive suggestions about standardized operation of replacement of Chinese e-waste.
