On May 19th, Zhang Rongming, Vice-president of CPCC (Chinese Political Consultative Conference) and the First Vice-president of the Central Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association, visits GEM’s circular workshop with the companion of professor Xu Kaihua, Board Chairman of GEM.

Ms Zhang visits Jingmen with other leaders from Hubei Provincial Department of Environment Protection, to investigate the environment monitoring and the prevention of water pollution in Jingmen. On arriving Jingmen, the delegation immediately comes to visit GEM. Mr Xu introduces the recycling of used batteries, disposing of waste water and processing of e-wastes. Ms Zhang then visited the water circling system, the on-line testing system of waste water disposing and the production line of e-wastes processing, with the companion of Zhang Shibao, Deputy Director of Department of Environment Protection, Wang Ling, Mayor of Jingmen, Mr Zhou, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Department of Environment Protection, and Mr Xu. Having watched the world-advanced sorting and processing line of used fridges, Ms Zhang highly praises GEM’s exhaustive processing of e-wastes and immediately instructs the Environment Protection Department to further reinforce its publicity and support to form a good atmosphere of saving and recycling resources in the whole society. She also encourages GEM to enlarge its production scale and to become lager and stronger.

In the following meeting, as the only representative, Mr Xu makes a report about the circular economy and low carbon manufacturing of GEM.
