On December 7, 2021, Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd. (XTC) Chairman Huang Changgeng headed a delegation to GEM Jingmen Industrial Park, attending the workshop on strategic cooperation. Prof. Xu Kaihua, Board Chairman of GEM warmly received the Chairman Huang and his colleagues.

Chairman Huang Changgeng and his colleagues visited the whole life cycle value chain model of circular industry from scrap recycling end to green manufacturing end of raw materials and materials, and then the two sides held a symposium. Huang Changgeng, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said he didn’t expect that GEM has done so well in resource recycling, the site of GEM in the process of waste treatment and production can be managed so clean and orderly, the automation of waste treatment in GEM is so advanced and the environmental protection equipment is so complete. He believes GEM’s ESG management is at the forefront of the industry.

Then, chairman Huang Changgeng introduced the development of Xiamen Tungsten. This year, Xiamen Tungsten new energy sector was successfully split and listed, further improving the company’s overall market value and market competitiveness. At the same time, the company has promoted the upgrading of international advanced manufacturing, realized standardized, lean and intelligent production and operation management, and effectively improved the gross profit margin and return on net assets. In the future, Xiamen Tungsten will further plan and build rare earth industrial clusters. Chairman Huang Changgeng also shared the team building mechanism of Xiamen Tungsten, which boldly appointed young people and established a talent training and appointment system of “setting strategy, making budget, asking performance, leading team, building mechanism and controlling risk”.

Chairman Xu Kaihua said that GEM has always taken Xiamen Tungsten as a model and benchmark. Xiamen Tungsten, as one of GEM’s major core customers, has greatly promoted GEM’s technological progress in the new energy battery material industry and cobalt nickel metal powder field. In the future, GEM will make every effort to serve the strategic development of Xiamen Tungsten, actively promote the in-depth mutual trust and cooperation between the two sides, and draw a new chapter in the green and low-carbon era hand in hand.
