On February 4, 2025, at the beginning of the Year of the Snake, Chairman of Azure Lithium Battery, Mr. Chen Kai, and his delegation visited QMB for an exchange and inspection. They were warmly received by Mr. Zhou Bo, Executive Vice President of GEM Group, accompanied by Mr. Peng Yaguang, Vice President of GEM Group and General Manager of QMB, as well as Mr. Chen Yujun, Assistant General Manager of GEM Group and General Manager of GEM (Wuxi) Energy Materials Co., Ltd.

Mr. Chen Kai and his delegation first visited the Nickel Industry Museum to gain a deeper understanding of QMB’s development journey, industrial layout, and future plans. They also observed the company’s technological breakthroughs and contributions to the direct production of new energy nickel-cobalt-manganese raw materials and battery materials from laterite nickel ore. Afterward, they conducted an on-site inspection of key production facilities, including the precursor manufacturing center and the MHP finished product workshop, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the complete process from laterite nickel ore to new energy materials.

Mr. Chen Kai and his delegation then visited the Sambalagi Industrial Park for an on-site inspection. They highly praised the park’s locational advantages and industrial development potential. Mr. Chen Kai stated that the Sambalagi Industrial Park boasts an excellent geographical environment with abundant marine, water, and mineral resources, making it an ideal location for the development of the nickel deep-processing industry chain. He strongly acknowledged Chairman Xu Kaihua’s vision of a zero-carbon and circular economy industrial park and commended GEM for its extensive experience in overseas project development, strong execution capabilities, and technological achievements. Mr. Chen Kai praised QMB as an outstanding team that dares to strive forward, expressing his confidence that the Sambalagi Industrial Park will become a globally recognized benchmark for green and low-carbon industrial zones in the future!
