On January 18th and 19th, a group of entrepreneurs from the Carbon Search Project, Tsinghua University, led by Professor Li Jizhen, Vice Dean of the School of Management at Tsinghua University and a member of the American Management Association, visited the QMB Industrial Area in Indonesia for an exchange experiences. Professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of the GEM Group, enthusiastically welcomed the guests.

With a warm welcome from Tsinghua University alumni at QMB and representatives of QMB employees in Indonesia and China, Professor Li Jizhen and the delegation entered the industrial area, which is a combination of “Technology + Intelligence + Green” to explore and exchange experiences. They paid special attention to the company's achievements in carbon emission reduction, such as QMB's use of the new generation HPAL technology to extract nickel, cobalt, and manganese from low-grade lateritic nickel ore, with carbon emission levels only at 35%~40% of conventional methods.

In the exchange event titled “Sailing Out, Penetrating New Opportunities”.Chairman Xu Kaihua shared GEM's experiences in mutual growth with Indonesia through integrated development in industry, technology, and culture. He stated that QMB will continue to adhere to the principle of Introducing lateritic nickel ore, producing raw materials for new energy”, and encourages Indonesia to transition from traditional metallurgy towards the new energy era!"

Professor Li Jizhen and the delegation expressed full appreciation for GEM's expansion practices, stating that 'international expansion is an unwavering endeavor!'
