Morowali, 14 September 2026 – QMB has recognized 200 employees for their technical expertise and work performance through its “1,000 Skilled Talent” Selection and Skills Competition, underscoring the company’s efforts to strengthen its skilled workforce and support talent development.

The recognition and closing ceremony were held on September 12, following a selection process involving 959 employees. Participants went through six stages: application, preliminary review, practical assessment, performance evaluation, comprehensive review, and final selection.

The 200 selected employees include engineers, technicians, and skilled workers representing 15 centers, 42 departments, and 63 job categories. Among them, 97 are Chinese employees, and 103 are Indonesian employees, reflecting the diversity of QMB’s workforce and its commitment to developing talent from both countries.

GEM Group Senior Vice President and QMB General Manager Peng Yaguang attended the ceremony and officially declared the competition successfully concluded.

The 200 selected employees will be included in QMB’s core skilled talent pool and receive special allowances and formal recognition. Their performance will also be subject to ongoing evaluation, with the program designed to encourage continuous improvement and maintain a strong and motivated skilled workforce.

Peng encouraged employees to look to the selected participants as examples and continue fostering a culture of professionalism, dedication, and innovation across the company.

He emphasized that the “1,000 Skilled Talent” program is designed as a dynamic and competitive platform that encourages employees to improve their skills continuously. Those who have been selected are expected to maintain and further develop their capabilities, while employees who were not selected will have opportunities to improve and compete in future programs.

Peng also encouraged employees to view this recognition as a new starting point and continue working together to strengthen QMB’s competitiveness and support the development of the site as a globally competitive hub for the new energy materials industry.

Representatives of the selected employees from Indonesia and China also shared their experiences during the event, reflecting on their professional development and efforts to improve their skills.

Indonesian representative Sri Restyati M. said that the recognition represented the result of continuous learning, practical experience and efforts to overcome challenges in the workplace.

She said the program also reflects the company's commitment to developing employees and strengthening talent at the operational level. Looking ahead, she said she would continue to uphold the values of professionalism, dedication and continuous improvement in her work.

Chinese representative Ma Shuai highlighted the importance of attention to detail, dedication and continuous learning in developing professional skills.
