Morowali, 6 August 2026 - PT QMB New Energy Materials has launched QMB Green Education 2026, a semester-long programme that introduces primary school students to environmental protection, science, safety awareness, and social responsibility through interactive, hands-on learning.
The program was officially inaugurated on 31 July 2026 at SD Negeri 4 Bahodopi in Bahodopi District, Morowali Regency. Running from July to December 2026, the program reflects QMB New Energy Materials' long-term commitment to supporting education and nurturing future generations in the communities where it operates.
Unlike one-off educational campaigns, QMB Green Education is designed as a continuous learning program, providing students with a structured series of lessons that gradually expand their knowledge and practical skills throughout the semester.

As the program's inaugural activity, students took part in three interactive learning modules focusing on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Environment, and Research & Development (R&D). The ESG session, titled “Learning to Care, Respect, and Collaborate,” introduced students to the importance of empathy, teamwork, mutual respect, and positive character development from an early age.
During the Environment session, students learned how to produce Eco Enzyme from organic waste through a practical workshop. The activity demonstrated that organic waste can be transformed into useful products, encouraging students to view waste as a valuable resource rather than something to discard.
Meanwhile, the Research & Development session introduced students to basic scientific concepts through a Mini Volcanic Eruption experiment, encouraging curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and an interest in scientific exploration.

Students showed strong enthusiasm throughout the program, actively participating in discussions, group activities, and practical experiments. By placing students at the centre of the learning process, the program encourages them to ask questions, solve problems collaboratively, and gain knowledge through direct experience.
One of the program's distinctive features is the involvement of QMB New Energy Materials employees as guest teachers. Professionals from departments including ESG, Research & Development, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and First Aid (P3K) shared their expertise through interactive classroom sessions.
By connecting classroom learning with real-world industrial practices, the guest teachers introduced students to environmental management, workplace safety, scientific innovation, and sustainable industrial development. The sessions also provided students with early exposure to future career opportunities in science and industry.
