QMB Celebrates Eid al-Adha, Strengthening Community Bonds and Cultural Harmony

Morowali, 4 June 2026 – PT QMB New Energy Materials commemorated Eid al-Adha 1447H through a series of activities aimed at strengthening community ties and fostering cultural harmony between Chinese and Indonesian employees.


The activities, held from May 26 to 27, included the donation of sacrificial cattle to the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) and Labota Village, Eid prayers, qurban slaughtering, and a communal dinner attended by employees and community representatives.

On May 26, QMB handed over sacrificial cattle to IMIP and Labota Village as part of its annual Eid al-Adha observance. The following morning, hundreds of Muslim employees gathered at the company's prayer hall to perform Eid prayers and celebrate the holiday together.


After the prayers, qurban slaughtering was conducted at the IMIP mosque, Labota Village, and the QMB residential area. The meat was subsequently distributed to employees and local residents.

Arifin, a representative of Labota Village, expressed appreciation for the company’s contribution and support during the Eid celebration.


“The sacrificial cattle donated by QMB were the largest among all surrounding companies,” he said.


The celebrations concluded with an Eid al-Adha dinner at the Indonesian employee canteen. Representatives from the IMIP Religious Committee and QMB management attended the event and extended holiday greetings to employees.

Speaking at the gathering, Peng Yaguang, Senior Vice President of GEM Co., Ltd. and General Manager of QMB, said the values of gratitude, sacrifice, inclusiveness, and mutual support embodied by Eid al-Adha resonate with the company's commitment to fostering cultural understanding and cooperation in the workplace.


He expressed hope that employees would enjoy a meaningful celebration and continue strengthening collaboration across cultures.


QMB stated it will continue to support cultural and community-based initiatives as part of its efforts to promote social cohesion and strengthen its relationship with local communities.
