On August 16, 2024, QMB area held a grand celebration of the 79th anniversary of Indonesia's independence, attracting more than 400 employees from both China and Indonesia to jointly celebrate this significant day.

The celebration began with a solemn moment when all participants sang the Indonesian national anthem together. Following this, the Deputy General Manager of QMB, Yan Xiaodong, delivered a speech. He pointed out that this event is a tribute to the spirit of Indonesian independence and also reflects QMB respect for local customs and it’s commitment to implementing the concept of cultural integration.

The event featured several traditional activities with a local Indonesian flavor, such as cracker-eating contests, watermelon-eating, sack races, pencil-in-bottle contests, and water balloon relay races. After a large-scale dance performance involving hundreds of participants, the competitions officially began, creating an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and excitement.

This event was not only a celebration of Indonesia's Independence Day, expressing the deep love and best wishes of Indonesian employees for their homeland, but also a vivid practice of cultural integration. The employees showcased their personal charm and the strength of teamwork in the competitions, deepening their understanding of Indonesia's rich history and diverse culture, and further enhancing communication and cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian employees.
