On September 4, 2023, to accelerate the development and localization of talent in the field of new energy and hydrometallurgy in Indonesia, the Indonesian QMB Park launched a program for the selection and incentive plan for thousands skilled workers and five hundred young talents. Chairman of the group, Xu Kaihua, participated in the launch event.
On September 4, 2023, in an effort to accelerate the development of local talent and localization in the fields of new energy and hydrometallurgy in Indonesia, the QMB Indonesia announced the "Selection and Incentive Program for 1000 Skilled Workers and 500 Young Leaders of Indonesia." Professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of the Gem Group, was present at the launch event. Through this program, QMB Indonesia will identify and train 1000 skilled Indonesian workers in various professional fields to meet the construction and production needs of the region. Additionally, the QMB Indonesia region will select and train 500 young Indonesian leaders who will become future leaders in the fields of new energy and metallurgy in Indonesia. They will receive essential training within the GEM Group and become core assets in various aspects of the QMB Indonesia region. Currently, after undergoing the selection process, there are already 65 Indonesian managers and young leaders who have been promoted to important roles in various business divisions within the region.
Chairman Xu Kaihua pointed out that GEM has successfully built a world-class high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) nickel laterite ore hydrometallurgy project in Indonesia, advancing the development of HPAL technology. They have also established Indonesia's first metallurgy and new energy material technology innovation center, enhancing Indonesia's metallurgy technology capabilities. GEM has initiated a joint international master's program in metallurgical engineering with the Indonesian government and Central South University, promoting technological and cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia.
Chairman Xu Kaihua stated that GEM will continue to expand its investments in Indonesia, connecting from laterite nickel ore mining to the new energy battery materials industry, and establishing a China-Indonesia circular economy industrial area. To achieve these significant goals, the participation of a large number of Indonesian local young talents is required. The launch of the selection and incentive program for 1,000 skilled workers and 500 young talents will inject new energy into the development of the QMB Industrial area in Indonesia and train local talents for the new energy and wet metallurgy industries in Indonesia. GEM will also continue to contribute its green power to to Indonesia's national economic development!
