On the morning of March 20, 2023, the Indonesian government held an award ceremony for contributions to the COVID-19 pandemic response. Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) delivered an address and presented awards at the Ministry of National Health. The event was attended by Indonesian national leaders, including Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and others. During the event, President Jokowi reviewed the pandemic containment measures taken over the past three years and officially announced the reopening of Indonesia. He expressed gratitude to law enforcement agencies, vaccination centers, as well as 153 non-governmental medical institutions, media, religious organizations, academics, representatives of friendly countries, international organizations, domestic and foreign companies, and others who made outstanding contributions to pandemic control and prevention. As one of the awarded Chinese company representatives, GEM Group received the "2023 Indonesia COVID-19 Pandemic Response Contribution Award" (PPKM Award). This award is the Indonesian government's recognition and appreciation of GEM Group and its subsidiary QMB commitment to social responsibility, benefiting Indonesian society, fostering solidarity, and promoting common development. This award is the highest honor for the company.
