Shenzhen, 25 September 2026— GEM has climbed China’s largest private enterprise rankings, rising 47 places to 382nd in the China Top 500 Private Enterprises list and 18 places to 277th in the China Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises list.
Released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) on September 22, the rankings mark the fourth consecutive year that GEM has been included in both lists.
The rankings are based on companies’ operating revenue. For the 2026 edition, the ACFIC surveyed 6,350 private enterprises, each with operating revenue of more than RMB 1 billion in 2025. The China Top 500 Private Enterprises ranking included the top 500 companies by revenue, with the revenue threshold for inclusion reaching RMB 25.599 billion this year.
The 2026 survey was the 28th large-scale private enterprise survey conducted by the ACFIC. Companies included in the China Top 500 Private Enterprises ranking recorded combined operating revenue of RMB 44.93 trillion in 2025, up 4.35% year on year.
GEM’s higher ranking follows growth in both revenue and net profit in 2025. The company reported operating revenue of RMB 37.124 billion, an increase of 11.82% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 1.580 billion, up 54.87% from the previous year.
The company reported growth across several of its core businesses during the year, including key metal recovery and extraction and power lithium battery recycling. Its nickel resource operations in Indonesia also reached full production capacity, while the company continued to expand its new energy materials business and advance technologies related to high-energy-density battery materials.
GEM's business spans the circular economy and new energy materials, with operations covering metal recycling, battery recycling, nickel resources, and the development of new energy materials.
The company has also appeared in several other major enterprise rankings. According to GEM, it ranked 392nd in the 2026 Fortune China 500, 353rd in the 2025 China Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises, and 63rd in the 2026 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises.
The latest ACFIC rankings come as GEM continues to expand its operations in the circular economy and new energy materials sectors. The company said it will continue to strengthen its core businesses, increase investment in technological innovation and develop new sources of growth.
As it enters the 15th Five-Year Plan period, GEM has outlined a strategy centered on strengthening its existing business foundations, pursuing technological innovation and developing new sources of growth. The strategy is guided by the company’s working motto of “Compliance and Steadiness, Quality and Efficiency, Building Global Competitiveness,” and its three-pronged approach of “stabilizing the foundation, pursuing super innovation, and opening new channels for incremental growth.”
GEM said these efforts will support its longer-term expansion in the global circular economy and new energy materials industries as it works toward its goal of building a world-class green industrial enterprise.
