Shenzhen, 15 June 2026— GEM has signed the “Joint Initiative of Global Enterprises on Creating a Shared, Inclusive and Sustainable Development Environment,” an initiative jointly launched by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).

By joining the initiative, GEM reaffirmed its commitment to support an open, transparent, and stable environment for international cooperation. The company also pledged to promote sustainable economic development, improve livelihoods and contribute to the global transition toward greener and more sustainable growth.

Advancing Sustainable Development: A Model of Best Practice

GEM's collaborative projects in Indonesia reflect its approach to sustainable development through technology, education and cultural exchange.

Among these initiatives is the China-Indonesia Joint Research Laboratory established, which has been recognized as a milestone project commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China-Indonesia. The project has also been featured by the UN Global Compact a “Pilot Benchmark Project for Technology and Culture”.

In addition, the China-Indonesia Joint Master's and PhD Program initiated by GEM has 266 engineering master's and doctoral students across five cohorts. The program aims to support talent development and strengthen academic and technological exchanges between China and Indonesia.

These initiatives reflect GEM's efforts to contribute to local capacity building while supporting the long-term development of the new energy industry.

Commitment to a Global Strategy and Green Energy Contribution

Looking ahead, GEM will continue to advance its international development, adhering to a flexible global expansion path of “Technology + Culture”.

The company plans to build on the experience gained from its projects in Indonesia and explore opportunities to replicate similar cooperation models in other regions. Through these efforts, GEM aims to contribute to sustainable industrial development and international collaboration in support of a greener future.
