Shenzhen, 24 February 2026 (the eighth day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Horse), —GEM’s 2026 Global Opening Ceremony was held simultaneously at the Shenzhen headquarters, Jingmen industrial park, and 12 other global venues.

Professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of GEM, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech to mark the new year’s opening. Ms. Wang Min, joint ultimate controller and Director of GEM, also attended the event, joining GEM’s global team to celebrate the first major event of the Chinese New Year.

At 9:28 AM, GEM’s global industrial parks held a grand opening ceremony simultaneously. Amidst a joyful and passionate atmosphere, GEM employees across the world connected online, shared New Year’s greetings, and rang in the Year of the Horse with a call to action: “Ride the horse and spur ahead, striving for excellence.” Together, they embarked on a new journey in 2026 filled with opportunities and challenges, with strong momentum to sprint toward a successful start to the year and achieve continuous success throughout.

Following the ceremony, Chairman Xu Kaihua delivered an inspiring New Year speech. He began by extending New Year greetings to all employees, wishing everyone a happy New Year and good fortune in the Year of the Horse. He especially expressed his high respect and sincere gratitude to the frontline staff who remained dedicated to their work during the Spring Festival holiday.

Chairman Xu Kaihua reported on GEM’s outstanding achievement of “maintaining production and operations” during the Spring Festival holiday. During this period, GEM kept its core production capacity and key projects running without interruption, with an average of 7,000 employees on duty daily, accounting for nearly 70% of the total workforce. This set a new record for GEM’s highest output during the Spring Festival holiday: the total output of core products exceeded 8,300 tons, with an output value approaching RMB 1.5 billion, and an average daily output value of approximately RMB 150 million. This strong performance has laid a solid foundation for achieving a strong start in the first quarter and the annual business objectives.

While affirming these achievements, Chairman Xu Kaihua put forward five clear requirements for all GEM employees:

First, learn from the frontline workers who remained at their posts and quickly refocus to return to a fighting state.

Second, firmly implement the goals for the first quarter and strive for a strong start.

Third, embrace challenges and seize opportunities with the mindset of a striver, ensuring the completion of the year’s production and operation targets.

Fourth, leading cadres must take the lead, work diligently, guide their teams effectively, and solidly implement the 10 major upgrade projects to promote the company’s Compliance and Steadiness, Quality and Efficiency, and Building Global Competitiveness.

Fifth, serve the company with gratitude, lead the industry, and contribute to the country.

Chairman Xu Kaihua emphasized that the more than 7,000 frontline staff are the cornerstone and backbone of GEM’s development. They are GEM’s “nucleus” and the outstanding representatives who take the lead and drive collective progress in the Year of the Horse. Victory will surely belong to the striving GEM employees, to all who gallop ahead!

With the spring tide rising, we are ready to sail and conquer the challenges; the path ahead is arduous, but we must ride on with full force and courage. Amidst warm applause, GEM’s 2026 Opening Ceremony successfully concluded. On the new journey, all GEM employees will unwaveringly adhere to the work motto of “Compliance and Steadiness, Quality and Efficiency, Building Global Competitiveness,” uphold “the dragon-horse spirit”, and confidently navigate the low-carbon blue ocean.
