Shenzhen, 9 February 2026—New Chapters in the Year of the Horse: Forging a Shared Future. From February 6 to 7, 2026, GEM welcomed distinguished guests: Mr. Lee Dong-chae, Chairman of the EcoPro Group—a global leader in new energy battery materials—and his delegation.

Chairman Lee visited GEM’s Jingmen and Wuhan industrial parks to celebrate a decade of friendship, analyze the new industry landscape, and elevate their strategic cooperation to new heights. Professor Xu Kaihua, Founder and Chairman of GEM, along with Ms. Wang Min, Co-founder and Director, and other senior executives, extended a warm welcome and accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

Amidst the warm cheers of employees lining the paths of GEM's Jingmen Industrial Park, Chairman Lee Dong-chae and his delegation commenced their "New Power of the Year of the Horse" inspection tour. Chairman Lee first visited the "Urban Mine" Museum, where both parties watched a commemorative video reflecting on over a decade of partnership, revisiting the deep friendship and unwavering mutual trust built over the last ten years.

Subsequently, Chairman Lee visited the production frontlines to conduct a field inspection of the facilities and engaged in discussions focused on building a globally competitive alliance. He remarked that upon returning to the Jingmen Industrial Park after six years, he witnessed transformative changes, and he highly commended GEM's world-class ecological park, its level of intelligent operations, and its formidable strength in innovation.

Following the tour, both parties participated in a tree-planting ceremony themed "Plant a Carbon Neutrality Tree, Build the World's Most Competitive Alliance Together", they planted a "Carbon Neutral" tree symbolizing green development. This gesture serves as a practical commitment to their global mission of sustainable growth and reflects their firm determination to forge a new future of strategic cooperation.

At the Wuhan Industrial Park, Chairman Lee Dong-chae and his delegation focused their inspection on GEM's industrial achievements in the field of retired power battery recycling. Chairman Lee spoke highly of GEM's model for the non-destructive dismantling, intelligent remanufacturing, and high-efficiency utilization of all battery components.

During the exchange session, Chairman Lee Dong-chae expressed his great delight regarding the meeting and extended his gratitude to Chairman Xu Kaihua and Director Wang Min for their warm hospitality.
