On September 25, 2023, the Southern Weekly announced the 2023 China Innovation and Creativity Ranking, in which GEM ranked first in the Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Resources industry.

The 2023 China Innovation and Creativity Ranking is based on the database of Chinese companies' innovation and creativity compiled by the Southern Weekly's Innovation and Creativity Research Center. This ranking includes a three-dimensional perspective and evaluation of the innovation and creativity of 6,895 operating entities/controlling shareholders as of the end of 2022, covering all A-share, most Hong Kong stock and US stock companies, and some non-listed companies that can provide financial reports audited by third parties. After excluding multiple listings and duplicates, there are 6,715 companies included in the ranking.

At the same time, the 6,715 companies are categorized according to their business operations. Prior to the official announcement of the 2023 China Innovation and Creativity Ranking TOP 100, the Innovation and Creativity Research Center of the Southern Weekly selected 30 industries with a strong correlation to daily life out of 44 primary industries and 102 secondary industries, and released the TOP 10 ranking of these industries' innovation and creativity. GEM ranked first in the Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Resources industry, while other well-known companies such as Huawei, Wanhua Chemical, and CATL ranked first in the Communication Equipment Manufacturing industry, Chemical Raw Materials and Chemical Products Manufacturing industry, and Battery Manufacturing industry, respectively.
