On August 17, 2023, as the Indonesian National Day and Independence Day, celebrations were held across Indonesia to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Indonesia. The Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) responded positively and joined forces with the local government to invite all enterprises in the industrial park to participate in this grand celebration. As one of the invited companies, QMB also joined in with Chinese and Indonesian employee representatives to participate in this unforgettable celebration with passion and honor.

Under the drizzled sky, the guard of honor marched vigorously, holding bright national flags, and the splashes of rain glistened with each step. Although the white military uniform was wet from the rain, it did not damage the solemn atmosphere. With the majestic playing of the national anthem, the red and white national flag rose into the sky, arousing people's pride and emotion.

After the celebration ceremony, IMIP Chairman Alexander Barus stepped onto the stage and solemnly read the oath, marking the official opening of the celebration. Dance music echoed in the IMIP hall, and the cheerful melody lit up the entire venue. The dancers showed their vitality in the warm-up exercises. All dance performance teams chose common songs and dance moves, but only QMB brought a unique performance and won applause from the audience.

A series of competitions such as tug-of-war, 4-person wooden shoes, sack race, and coin biting followed one after another, and each competition was full of vitality and challenges. In the tug-of-war competition, the QMB team performed well and finally won the second place. Especially in the finals, facing the well-trained IMIP security team, although at a clear disadvantage, QMB team members fought hard with the spirit of bravery, and won the respect of the audience in the 5 mins stalemate with their opponents in the second round with appreciation.

Although did not win the championship, the tenacity and sense of honor shown by QMB are far better than the glory of the first place. This celebration is not only to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Indonesian independence, but also to gain a deeper understanding of local culture, eliminate misunderstandings and prejudices, broaden horizons and thinking. This event allows people to look at problems from different angles and solve challenges in a more open, inclusive and flexible way, laying a solid foundation for QMB on the road of cultural integration and growing together with Indonesia.
