GEM has built seven end-of-life vehicle recycling bases in Wuhan, Tianjin, Jiangxi, Henan, Jingmen, Xiantao and Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, and its main business includes end-of-life vehicle dismantling and processing, comprehensive crushing, comprehensive sorting of non-ferrous metal waste and parts recycling. Through independent research and development, Gem has formed a complete industrial system of end-of-life vehicle dismantling, crushing, waste sorting and parts recycling, formed a complete resource-based industrial chain model of end-of-life vehicle as "recycling--dismantling--crushing--fine sorting--parts recycling" to maximize the harmless and resource-based disposal of end-of-life vehicles.

GEM attaches great importance to technological innovation and research and development, and has independently developed a complete set of key technologies for resourceization of end-of-life vehicle, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level, among which the intelligent identification and fine sorting technology of end-of-life vehicle crushing materials has reached the international leading level. GEM pioneered the Chinese end-of-life vehicle disposal model of "process, mechanization, harmless, resourceization, informatization and education", with refined dismantling, intelligent crushing and intelligent sorting as the industrial core technology to realize the comprehensive utilization of the whole process of green dismantling, whole vehicle crushing, complete sorting and parts recycling for end-of-life vehicles. GEM's end-of-life vehicle disposal model has opened up the complete resource-based industrial chain of "recycling-disassembly-refined sorting-parts recycling", formed a whole industrial system of end-of-life vehicle dismantling, crushing, sorting, parts recycling and deep recycling to maximize the harmless and resource-based disposal of end-of-life vehicles and enhance the competitiveness for the company's future business. GEM has been honored as a national high-tech enterprise, an intellectual property demonstration construction enterprise in Hubei Province, the first prize of science and technology of China Recycling Economy Association, and has the Hubei Provincial Engineering Research Center for the recycling of end-of-life vehicles (including new energy vehicles). In the future, GEM will promote the transformation and upgrading of the end-of-life vehicle business to "recycling + manufacturing" and develop a high-margin integrated waste treatment business. GEM will focus on the three major businesses of crushing and sorting, industrial waste recycling and social sorting and recycling, and form the operation model of "3+N" (three crushing centers in Wuhan, Tianjin and Jiangxi + other end-of-life vehicle recycling and dismantling subsidiaries), and it is expected that by 2025, the total volume of urban mine yard business will reach more than 3 million tons.
